Peshawar Zalmi win the 2026 Pakistan Super League
Peshawar Zalmi beat debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets at Gaddafi Stadium on 3 May 2026 to win their second PSL title.

Peshawar Zalmi won the Pakistan Super League for the second time on 3 May 2026, beating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Hyderabad were playing in their first PSL season.
Hyderabad Kingsmen were bowled out for 129 in 18 overs. Peshawar chased the target down with 130/5 in 15.2 overs, with more than four overs to spare.
Hardie leads the way
Aaron Hardie was named Player of the Match for taking four wickets and scoring 56 runs. Sufiyan Muqeem of Peshawar was named Player of the Tournament.
What it means for the title tally
Zalmi's first title came in 2017, when they beat Quetta Gladiators by 58 runs in Lahore, and this is their second. After 11 editions, Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars lead with three titles each. Peshawar Zalmi have two, and Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans have one each.
The PSL, organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board, was launched in 2016, and Islamabad United won the first season in the United Arab Emirates. Eight city-based franchises now play a double round-robin group stage, with the top four going into the playoffs.
A changed season
The 2026 edition was the first with eight teams, as Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz joined the league. It ran from 26 March to 3 May 2026, overlapping with the IPL. Because of the economic impact of the 2026 Iran war, the season was restricted to Lahore and Karachi.
Babar Azam holds the career records for most runs, 4,380 between 2016 and 2026, while Hasan Ali has taken the most wickets, 140. The 2025 champions were Lahore Qalandars, who beat Quetta Gladiators by six wickets for their third title.
The next edition, PSL 12, is tentatively planned for March to May 2027, but the dates have not been officially announced.
